City Council
The Mayor and City Council are elected at-large to serve four-year terms. They meet twice monthly on the first and third Thursday evening at 7:00 pm. Meetings are conducted in the City Council Chamber in the Municipal Building, 100 E. 4th Street. The public is encouraged to attend.The agenda is closed 24 hours before the meeting time. Mayor Chuck Harris
Chuck Harris has served as Mayor since December 2006. His current term expires December 2012. Chuck served as Council member 16 years prior to his current position. As Mayor, Chuck is a member pro-tem of all Council Committees.Chuck is a lifelong resident of York. He has been associated with Metz Mortuary since 1968.

Barry Redfern
Barry Redfern, Council President, has served on the Council since December of 1996. His current term terminates December 2014. Council Committee assignments include Finance and Public Safety.Barry is a Vice President of Midwest Bank. He is a graduate of York High School and Nebraska Wesleyan University.

Margaret Brink
Margaret Brink, Council Vice President, has served on the Council since November of 1992. Her current term terminates in December 2012. Council Committee assignments include Ordinance & Judiciary, Buildings, and Insurance & Pension.Margaret moved to the City of York in 1969 to take a teaching position at York High School. She retired from that position in 2007. She is involved in several community organizations, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Four Corners Health Department. Margaret and her husband Tom have three grown children.

Ron Mogul, Jr.
Ron Mogul Jr. has served on the Council since December 2004. His current term expires December 2012 Council Committee assignments include Ordinance & Judiciary, Public Safety, and Utilities.Ron has been a resident of York since 1970. He graduated from York High School and earned an Associate Degree in Architectural Technology from Southeast Community College. He is a partner in Mogul's Transmission, Inc. & Mogul's Towing, a family owned business established in 1983. He is a member of East Hill Church of Christ. Ron and his wife Madonna have twin daughters, Erin and Amanda.

Cy North
Cy North was appointed to the Council in February 2007 His current term expires December 2012 Council Committee assignments include Ordinance & Judiciary, Public Safety, and Insurance & Pension.Cy and his wife Katie have lived in York since 1969. They presently own and operate York Printing Company and North Office Supply.

Randy Obermier
Randy Obermier has served on the Council since December 2004. His current term expires December 2012. Council Committee assignments include Finance, Buildings, and Utilities.Randy grew up in York and graduated from York High School in 1983. Randy and his wife have been the owners of York Boot N Repair since 1999. Randy and Tammy have two children.

Paul Toms
Paul Toms has served on the Council since 2003. His current term terminates December 2014. Council Committee assignments include Ordinance & Judiciary, Streets, Alleys & Paving, and Insurance & Pension.Paul has lived in York since 1946. He is a graduate of York High School; earned his BS at Hastings College; and his Masters and Doctorate degrees at the UNL. He served 42 years in the educational field with 32 of those years in the York Public Schools system. Paul retired in 2000 after serving 25 years as Schools Superintendent. He now consults with several colleges and school districts on various projects. Paul and his wife have one daughter and three grandchildren.

Diane Wolfe
Diane Wolfe has served on the Council since December 2006. Her current term expires December 2012. Council Committee assignments include Finance, Buildings, and Streets, Alleys & Paving.Diane grew up on a farm in the Cordova area. She has lived in York for 20 years. Diane and husband Roger have been married for 27 years. For the last 10 years, she has been in insurance agent working as a commercial lines supervisor, and most recently handling both personal and commercial lines. Diane enjoys playing the piano at church, spending time with her four grandchildren, reading and traveling. Her most memorable trip was to Colombia, South America where she sponsored a girl through Compassion International.
