To lifeguard with York Park & Recreation, you must be at least 16 years old, be certified in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and have Lifeguard Certification. If you wish to manage, applicants must be at least 18 years of age; have all the lifeguard certifications; and have the State of Nebraska Pool Operators Certification. Monday, January 3 from 4:00 p.m. -- 8:00 p.m.
Monday, January 17 from 8:00 a.m. -- 4:00 p..m. (no school that day)
Monday, January 24 from 4:00 p.m. -- 8:00 p.m.
Monday, January 31 from 4:00 p.m. -- 8:00 p.m.
February/March Class:
Wednesday, February 23 from 7:00 p.m. -- 9:00 p.m.
Sunday, February 27 from 9:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, March 2 from 7:00 p.m. -- 10:00 a.m.
Sunday, March 6 from 1:00 p.m. -- 5:00 p.m.
Monday, March 7 from 7:00 p.m. -- 9:00 p.m.
Participants must attend all sessions of their class in their entirety in order to be eligible to pass, so please do not register for the class if you have a conflict on one of the days. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. You must pay the entire fee of $125 to be registered. Both classes must have at least 3 people and no more than 8 people in order to be held.
