Parks and Playground

The City of York is blessed with an abundance of parks and playgrounds. The citizens have supported an active Parks Department with their tax dollar and private donations.

Miller Park--1720 N. East Avenue
Three regulation lighted softball fields with electronic scoreboards, modern playground equipment, picnic pavilion with grill and electrical plug-ins, security lighting, restrooms, and off-street parking.


East Hill Park--901 E. 6th Street
Three lighted tennis courts, picnic pavilion with grill and electrical plug-ins, modern playground equipment, sand volleyball court, restrooms, and off-street parking.

Minck's Park and Family Aquatic Center--2222 E. 14th Street
Many function family park is being developed as funds become available. Six hole disc golf course now ready for play! Discs available for purchase at the Community Center or the Family Aquatic Center. The Family Aquatic Center held a grand opening on May 28, 2005.

Levitt Stadium--921 E. 6th Street
Home of many seasonal sports including baseball, football, and soccer with electronic scoreboard, concessions stand, restrooms, and off-street parking.


Beaver Creek Park--S. Blackburn Avenue to S. Kingsley Avenue
Lighted hiking and biking trail, playground equipment, lighted baseball field with electronic scoreboard, picnic facilities with grills, two lighted tennis courts, restrooms, off-street parking.


Foster Park Arboretum--202 N. East Avenue
State recognized arboretum with numerous Nebraska hearty species of trees, shrubs and flowerbeds. Vine covered arbor, walkways.


Harrison Park--140 S. Kingsley Avenue
Picnic pavilion with grill and electrical plug-ins, modern playground equipment, hiking and biking trails, sand volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, restrooms, parking.


Duke Park--1100 Duke Drive
Kids lighted softball and baseball field, picnic area, playground equipment, restrooms, off-street parking.


Middle School Athletic Field--621 E. 14th Street
Lighted baseball and football field, restrooms, parking.


Fairgrounds Ball Field--2400 N. Nebraska Avenue
Lighted baseball field, parking.
