Crime Stoppers

The York County Crime Stoppers program started in March of 1984. Since that time York County Crime Stoppers has paid out over $16,000 in rewards and has been instrumental in solving 333 crimes. In addition, information received by Crime Stoppers has lead to the arrest of 199 individuals and the successful prosecution of each of these suspects.

York County Crime Stoppers is proud of the fact that it has played an important role in the recovery of $94,000 in stolen property, and illegal drugs with a street value of over $7,000.

York County Crime Stoppers added an Alcohol Party Hotline in 1994. Information received has led to the arrests of 50 juveniles and 27 adults for a variety of offenses, including minor in possession of alcohol and procuring alcohol for minors.

Crime of the Week

Crime Stoppers is offering a $250 reward for information that will lead to the arrest of person(s) responsible for the theft of a 2009 White Honda CBR600 Motorcycle stolen from 108 N Grant Avenue in York on April 21, 2012. The motorcycle was found stripped down to the frame between the Alvo Road and Fletcher Road on 210 Road in Seward County. The motorcycle is valued at $6,500.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $250 reward for information that will lead to the arrest of person(s) responsible for a burglary at the Yorkview Apts at 1225 N Lincoln Avenue at 12:05 a.m. on March 1, 2012. Three males wearing baggy pants and hoodies were observed entering the locked apartments and left in a hurry. A blue ray definition dvd and surround system were stolen.

A $250 reward is also being offered for information that will lead to the arrest of person(s) responsible for breaking out the windshield and rear window of a 2005 maroon Chevrolet Impala parked at 1225 N Lincoln Ave, Yorkview Apartments on March 7-8, 2012.

Crime Stoppers Gives $250 Reward

A crime stopper tipper received $250 after providing information that resulted in the recovery of stolen items and the apprehension of two local men for the Radio Shack burglary.

A tipper received a $250 reward after providing information that resulted in the recovery of electrical wire valued at $2,000 from Champion Homebuilders Company.

CRIME STOPPERS OFFERS $250 REWARD

York County Crime Stoppers is offering a $250 reward for information that will lead to the arrest of person(s) who burglarized a residence in Gresham between April 15-16, 2011 and removed a laptop computer, DVD's, speakers and other personal property for an estimated loss of $5,000.
